Damaged but still beautiful. This is a very worn and damaged bowl basket. Origin unknown. Even though there is damage on all sides, the traditional geometric designs are eye-catching. The basket is bowl-shaped measuring about 3 ½ inches in height and 7 inches at the widest - at the brim. The dark woven designs appear to have the most damage, suggesting they are of a more delicate grass/material. 
 
The basket was purchased at a Native American auction in the 1980s-1990s (sticker still attached), but no authentication of age or origin is available. It appears to be old. 
 
This basket would look wonderful in the currently popular farmhouse style, a contemporary decor, or anywhere there is desire for warmth, smooth lines, texture, and an earthy element.
