This is a clay wedding vase, with engravings on each main side. The engravings are not exact so it is assumed that they are not merely stamped. The reddish-brown color of the vase is not evenly distributed resulting in a somewhat ombre effect. One side of the vase is slightly darker than the other. It measures about 11 inches in height. There are no identifying markings. It may not be Native American.

Regardless of its origin and age, the wedding vase provides texture, rich color, and a feeling of warmth and love. The vase was purchased in the 1980s-1990s and has had one owner since. The vase has been on display in a non-smoking home in an open, yet protective display case. The vessel would be perfect for the current popular farmhouse style, or anywhere there is a desire for texture, ethnic art, geometric symmetry, or a wish for natural earthy elements.

Wedding Vase, Unknown Age and Origin. May not be Native American.
