This is a charming Koyemsi (clown) mudhead kachina. The kachina has been carefully carved and hand-rubbed using a mixed media of oil stain and yarn. There is a sweet small turquoise nugget at the base adding that extra touch of charm. The carving is assumed to be in cottonwood.
