This colorful beauty dipicts eight yei dancers and a leader. The weaving is made with wool in colors of black, white, yellow, red, green, and turquoise. All appear to be aniline dyed. The rug is tightly woven. This is considered a Navajo Weaving, probably from the Shiprock, New Mexico area (per appraiser) however, no official documentation is available.  The rug was purchased in the 1990s and has only had one owner. It was on display in a non-smoking home. It has been in storage since flood damage.

Contemporary.

Size: 43” x 32”

Condition: Running of colors, mold due to Florida storm and flooding. Staining mostly along top 1/3-1/2 of rug (side one, opposite on side two). Bottom portion has little damage. Note closeup photos.

The price reflects the flood damage. The rug is large and heavy, therefore the price also reflects the higher shipping costs.
