This is a Navajo weaving by artists Sarah J. Begay. This strikingly bright rug has a center Yei face with four other Yei faces in each corner panel. Aniline dyed wool in colors red, mauve, turquoise, black, gray, and white were used to create this tightly woven, stylized contemporary design. This is a rare beauty!

The rug was purchased from the Heard Museum in the 1990s, and has only had one owner. It was on display in a non-smoking home.

Size: 21” x 26”

Condition: Running of colors, and some mold due to a storm and subsequent flooding. Staining is mostly along the left 1/3 – 1/2 side of the rug. It has been in storage since the damage.

The price reflects the damage.
